The most beautiful corsage on the face of the planet. |
Last week, I promised a few posts about pre-Homecoming, and, as usual, something went wrong and that simply did not happen. I lost my SD card. Woops.
So, here we are at the end of it all instead:
Last night was my first time participating in a school's homecoming.
Excitement.
Homecoming dress: $40 at JCPenny's |
After standardized testing that morning, I started getting ready an eternity before I was actually supposed to leave. I love my dress, and my heels almost as much, though (or was it because?) they were 5 inches tall and made me "average height." Woop woop.
Kasey and Heather (creepy glasses used to protect secret identities) |
Dinner followed with my favorite elf-hobbit Kasey, Heather who obviously likes making weird faces, and Grant. And while all of everyone else were at some impressively-priced restaurants we got burgers.
Good burgers.
Our designated driver |
And then, of course, we had to run into Target for some goodies for the afterparty.
And got fairly distracted in the 6 and under toy section.
And then in the little in-store Starbucks.
Like real-life grownups.
We're so cute. |
I don't have pictures of the dance itself (expect a photo strip that I own 1/8 of and currently don't possess), but there wasn't much to miss. It certainly wasn't the highlight of the evening.
Afterwards we played Apples to Apples with some other friends for a while and then it was back home to get ready for church. At that point, I'd forgotten I'd even brought a camera.
Oops.
It was a good time; definitely not sitting at home watching Netflix. Next year though, I think I might just have a Halloween party instead.
Hope you all had a good weekend!
