Festivities

Today was absolutely, positively my second perfect Saturday in a row.

After a pretty productive visit to the gym this morning, my family and I got to fall-festival-it-up at one of our local pumpkin farms. There were hundreds of people, everywhere, sunshine with a breeze, and a DJ from a local radio station played requests over the loud-speakers. Everything looked so gorgeous.

Not to mention, Mom and I got to hold the precious bunnies in the little barn area.

The light at the end of the tunnel
And everyone went down the PVC-pipe slide.
A lot of people asked at the other end if it was really that bumpy going down.
The answer is: Yes, it was.

Then there is the corn crib. It's always been around. In fact, I think there may be a picture still floating around my room of me and the rest of my kindergarten class swimming in one.

If you've never had the chance to go corn-cribbing, imagine one of those huge ball pits from kids' play areas, filled with corn kernels. And then sinking into it.
It's like a million mini-massages. So much fun.

We picked our jack-o'-lanterns for the year as well. Mine's the green one.
If it doesn't turn orange, I might (will) get really, terribly upset.

Dinner was barbecue, potato salad, and cole slaw (which I could and gladly would live off of if that wasn't enormously unrecommended), with these really good chocolate and vanilla ice cream popsicle things and cotton candy for dessert.

And my little birdie face paint.

It was a fantastic time all-around.
Tomorrow it's back to homework and... homework and... well... a little more homework after that too. And then maybe a nap.
But it's officially fall now! It's here, for real!
I'm so excited.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday.
