Saturday morning, I got up ridiculously early and six of my oldest friends and I all piled into two cars bound for Chattanooga, Tennessee. The ride was quiet and the road long, but at the end of the day (after 2 1/2 wet and wonderful hours of white-water rafting) there we were on the edge of the Tennessee River.
If you've never been to Chattanooga, let me tell you that on Saturday nights, it's a pretty hopping place.
For example, people flocked to free concerts with this gorgeous scene in the background:
And the fantastic food at The Blue Plate restaurant, which was super modern and really great all-around. They serve everything from grilled salmon to corn cakes.
With a Ben and Jerry's just down the road. I got raspberry and chocolate frozen Greek yogurt, which I was at first a little wary of, but it was good nonetheless.
And the amazing outdoor garden and water installments at the Chattanooga Aquarium (which is intriguing in its own right) are fun to splash around in too, and open to the public.
I don't think I've been that tired in a long time. When I got home, I could barely keep my eyes open. Still can't, to be honest but, it was a nice way to get away.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend too!
