Those Who Crawl Upon the Earth

I'll admit it. 

I have a strange (maybe a little unlady-like) fascination with creeping crawlies: ants, caterpillars, butterflies, snails, slugs, praying mantises, spiders, bees. They're all intriguing to me, and every so often I'll go for a spin around the yard with my camera to snap them up. 

Through the Zoo and Back Again

Today was our annual summer trip to the zoo- a tradition maintained for just about ever, as a last-minute trip before school begins for the year. It always makes for a pretty grand adventure, and the weather was pretty much perfect for it today.
